First of all, is anyone on here planning on going? I know numbers might be reduced a bit as it's not on tv. I'm having an issue though, and thought I would see if anyone is having the same problem. I'm up at uni in brum, so I sent my mum on a little errand to get tickets. Turns out you need a NUS card to get tickets. Never had this problem before as normal student ID will normally suffice. So I either have to fork out twice as much, or sit in the home end and keep my mouth shut. Naturally I'm very pissed off and I don't know why they're being OCD. The four of us that were planning to go are students, it's not like we're lying! So this is a tip for any other student attempting to go.
Firstly it is on TV (I think you meant to say that). Secondly are you a uni student because if you are you should have a NUS card
To take the piss further, I'm going to the bham vs watford game next weekend and they don't specify that you need an NUS card...typical.
I got done by this as well earlier in the season, it's because Universities like Southampton Uni don't pay a £50k+ affiliation fee to the pointless and discredited organisation "National Union of Students" (sic) so that their students can occasionally get 10% off at Topshop etc. No I don't understand why you need an NUS card to get a discount even though you are blatantly a student either. Incidentally NUS are having financial problems so are trying to flog additional discount cards to students who they do not actually represent. Also they hate the government which is funny.
Alternatively why dont u get tickets for the away stand at the city box office? What i did for Wednesday away last year
