    Bit off topic.

Alot of PL clubs like Stoke and Sunderland etc. are interested in alot of B'ham and West Ham players. They are offering stupid amounts of money for players, I mean £6m for Carlton Cole? Scott Parker £10m+? £7m for R Johnson? £16m for Jerome and Dann? Alot of people seem to think these players are brilliant but really they can't really be worth £7,8m if they get relegated can they?

Jones £20m, Henderson £20m.... in todays market Parker at £10m is a snip in comparison to these, but thats the crazy world of the Premiership for you.

Just because a team gets relegated it doesn't mean everyone in that team was rubbish, we got relegated, but Stevie Hunt was every bit a Premier League player.

All the players mentioned are decent players and as Blaknamberblood has said, compared to some other signings, Parker looks a bargain.

theyre good players but not worth that much, the premier league is going mad for english players, everyones too worried about having enough home grown players they pay through the roof. agree with parker though, class player, would fit into any team in the premier league easily.

Gold and Sullivan were on about loaning Parker out for a season - the idea obviously being that they get promoted this season and have him back for their PL campaign.

The loan fee mentioned was £3m, now I'm no transfer dealer, but surely paying treble that to buy him and sticking him on a four year deal would be a better move for a club who want him?

parkers always had a bit of injury problems though and he is 30, a one year loan deal might be the best option, even if they include an option to buy at £10 million.

Fair point. It would also make sense for Chelsea (who are linked with him) actually, as Essien is out until January, so Parker would be an ideal replacement for him in the side until he comes back from injury.

I'm pretty sure Scotty would be welcome to the deal as well - his England place certainly wouldn't be under threat playing for the blues <ok>

3m quid for a season long loan @ chelsea would be cheap business. I dont think Chelsea would want him long term but with Essien out for 6 months it gives the Blues time to look for a longer term replacement.

I think Sullivan @ west ham is in for a rude awakening this season as every championship club will raise there game when they play the hammers. it wont be the cake walk he thinks it will be.

They're not doing themself any harm in preparing for promotion though by signing players in the calibre of Nolan & Gudjohnsen!

Can you imagine if Hull City had signed those 2 ? All the age-ist folks would have had a field day on here.
Again we are back to paper teams. Its gonna be a rip roaring season for sure. I can pick 12 teams who are all
well capable of a top 6 finish this time around.

Dont think Parker would have a problem going back to Chelsea, even for a season ? No brainer, imo.

Yes we would hate a 29 year old who scored 12 goals last season in the premiership and 17 in the CCC the season before. We would also hate a 32 year old who excelled for Chelsea and Barcelona. Do you even read what you write before posting?
