Marc Bircham has told talkSPORT that Joey Bartonâs decision to attack former QPR boss Neil Warnock doesnât help the club as they prepare to play Wigan in a crunch match at the bottom of the Premier League. QPR captain Barton took to Twitter to slam his former manager, claiming: âIf I talked about Neil, he'd do well to get another job. Twitter cost him his job???? I can think of a million other things!â And Bircham has claimed that the spat will only add pressure as the west London club try to end a nine game winless run and move out of the relegation zone. âWhat can I say? Itâs not going to help the team with stuff on Twitter,â said QPR youth coach Bircham. âIf people can stick to their personal views on other stuff than your own football team [then it is better for the club]. âIt adds a bit of pressure to the game [against Wigan] because people are going to be talking about it and theyâll distract it from the football. âBut at the end of the day if we can win today then it will all be forgotten about.â Bircham also admitted that Bartonâs decision to put himself in the spotlight could lead to the controversial midfielder producing the kind of form the club need to push up the league table. âIt puts a bit of pressure on Joey but he is the type of player who will thrive on it,â added Bircham. âHopefully we can get the kind of performance out of Joey today that we know he can do.â http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/1479/50/exclusive-bircham-bartons-twitter-outburst-wont-help-qpr?
