Gutting news. Guess hess and scally have to get back on the phone for another striker.

 

Bad for us and the team yes. BUT.....please just think how Adam feels himself. He has only just joined us and was looking forward to making an impact on the pitch.

Let us rally round the guy and let him know that we are thinking of him and his wellbeing....not our own selfish (although possibly understandable) feelings.

I'm posting a get well Adam thread....let's fill it up.

after the statement the club was making, with our signings(birchall included) i've been on such a high...birchall has been a very big blow for us...i'm gutted!!! TIME FOR OTHERS TO SHINE AND GET US THROUGH THIS PERIOD!

thing is these things happen...some more than others(namely us gills), this could not be at a worse time either!. but it's a team game and we have a big team(although some may say no other strikers other than kedwell...(not yet proven?)the team need to show how strong and flexible we actually are?...step up OLI, S PAYNE & ROONEY...THE STAGE IS YOURS!!!

would like to think we will still bring another striker in though...either full or part-time, IF WE ARE TO CHALLENGE FOR THIS DIVISION!!!!!

im in tears writing this. i feel your pain Adam.

now ive said it before and ill say it one more time 'bring back dicko'. i only saw him this morning walking down the street. he was signing on down the local job centre.

 

I just wish that he makes a full recovery from his injury as quickly as possible. I agree with Gillsoxon it is time fro Rooney,Payne and Oli to step up to the plate and make their presence felt.

Hess will have to get a loanee in,got no other choice.Really feel for Adam,even in friendlies he put in 100%.Thats at least 20 goals we will be missing this season.

 

Not good at all, totally takes the edge off the excitement of the new season. Need someone on loan i would say for several months as we dont know how Kedwell will do. We cant afford to be playing catch up again like last season

 

The scene is now set for Rooney to forfill his potential.

4-4-1-1 Formation with Rooney playing in the 'hole' with a free role to cause havoc running at the defences and picking out the through ball to Kedwell...

 

At this point in time there is no need to panic and go out and sign loan players etc. We have a decent squad, let's see what they can do first before we decide to sign other players. We do not have a one man team and there is no guarantee that loan players will be any better. UTG

 

I do have a big feeling it will be 4-5-1 now as we have loads of depth in Midfield now and we could use more in the team as we have at least 5 good midfielders.

 

Just read an article that states a return to competative sport is a minimum of 6 months with this injury.Might even get his first game for us in league 1.

 

So depressing - just knew it was going to be bad news. He must be so frustrated. Back to the drawing board now for Hess. He needs to dig up a gem from somewhere.

 

Has cody signed for anyone yet ???. wouldnt mind him up front with kedwell untill adam returned.can only dream.

could be worse,last season against cheltenham we started with stefan payne up front with roon and fat boy on the bench.this season we should have kedwell up front with lee,whelpdale and roon backing him up,not too bad after all.
