As Southampton have bought in a new partner for Ricky Lambert, Jay Rodriguez, could this leave Biily out in the cold? Could a loan be available?
Doubt it very much. I would be amazed if he did go. Saints now have 4 good quality goal scorers in Lambert - Da Predo - Sharp and Rodriquez. They will need all the fire power they can muster next season i would suggest. Saints have let David Connelly go on a free. Rumours Crystal Palace will be his choice of club.
I doubt it unfortunately. They will probably use all 3 of them at times, as well as that Guly bloke who sometimes plays a bit further back.
Maybe in January depending on performances but there's no way they won't want all options available from the start
Billy has earned his chance, he's in Nigels plans. We need to buy a keeper, but its the same situation, who-ever we get will have to bide there time, Super Kelv is in from the start. Do Prado can play other positions up front, but Tad Lee will be the other striker vying for a starting slot. All I can say is, I hope we have a cup run so we can keep them all happy! Good luck for the season boys, the Championship is going to be very exciting once again, you can tell already.
Sharp never wanted to leave the area, he was very keen to sign for us, Nick didn't want him, but if Bruce does want him, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance.
Even from a prem club? As i said above if he doesn't make an impact on the first team come January i'd fancy our chances of getting him on loan but i can't see it being an option until then at least
Aye I think once he gets a taste of the prem the desire of living closer to home will dissipate. Also he's pretty close with Adkins isn't he? So as long as you don't sack him if things start to go wrong then I can't see Sharp being unsettled. However if he doesn't set the world alight and your other strikers are doing the business then who knows in January.
He didn't get in the team straight away, but once given the chance, he really grabbed it. People are already doubting him because of his pace, but I reckon he'll do well for us, but we probably need to add a attacking midfielder to help him along. Saying that, working next to the incredibly unselfish Rickie always helps!
