Seems to be available, and if Morrison at Norwich can make the switch to the Prem do you think he would be worth a punt? Not necessarily as first choice but certainly as a squad player, especially if Betty goes to Celtic on loan.

I think that we are setting our sights higher.

Assuming that we do get Henrique and only one of Bothroyd and DJ go, we wont need him, especially considering that Hughes wants to (or has been told to) trim the squad.

If we are going to take a punt on a striker from the lower leagues, wouldn't Rhodes be a better bet?

If Bothroyd is going to Celtic we could do worse than trying for Gary Hooper. Saints have bid £6 million for him and he's more prolific than Sharp...

I think the "trim the squad" exercise means the dumping of all those who certainly do not have a future ... from Rowlands to Vine, Dave to Hulse, Ramage to Cook, etc. Thbey cost us several millions a year for no return. Add to those a few from the 25 who will go to make way for the new signings and it will be a hell of a long list. It will look like a cull, but it would have happened to most of those not in the 25 (and with no realistic hope of getting in there) anyway.

The places currently held by Cook, Rowlands, Vine, etc need to go to young up and coming players who can play in the first team (if necessary) because of their age and therefore don't have to be named in the 25.

Apparently the current squad stands at 40 players and as you can only play 25 that leaves 15 players collecting their wages and won't play a part in the Prem. I would also suggest some of those 15 are on indecent wages as they were brought in by the goons who knew nothing about football. Or to quote Bernie......Restaurants.

Do you lot not want to see what Hughes can get out of DJ or Bothroyd? They're both good enough to be in the squad unless we get loads of quality strikers in all of a sudden.

40 squad players and I can't think of eleven to play today.

when you wrote down the names of Rowlands, Hulse, Dave, Ramage, Vine and Cook, I thought you were going to say that all their shirts would have to be ripped at the sides and restitched for one shirt for Samba!!

However, I can see Cook (Orient), Rowly (wycombe), Ramage (Palarse), Borrowdale (Barnet) easily getting another club, Dave....should do but would expect him to go to division 1 or 2 but hope that his new club still have an enclosed stand otherwise the cost of replacing balls will go up consideralby, Vine should go on one of those TV progammes about people missing inaction, or a medical programme that covers removing splinters from your arse as he has been sitting on his for quite a long while.

Hopefully MH can start to get more from Boothroyd and JDC than we have sen so far

No need. We have rob hulse for the 'lower league striker who is useless
    at top level' role.
