Right I do not give to hoots what fans think. But this guy and I am fully aware he is Scottish does not bother me at all,but I would say he is the man to take us forward. Proven and has the T shirts. He is avaliable would be expensive wages wise, but no compensation to pay. If this board is serious in wanting to keep the club in the championship then this would be the man I would love to see here. If other fans have a better idea then please put your case forward and reasons.
Yep, he would be what we need. Alongside someone like roy keane, karl robinson. Won't happen though tony docherty would get the job if mciness is sacked, but it won't happen
So far today you have said..... * Sack Delboy.. * Steve Lansdown should rethink his plans or ' Call it a Day '.. * Maybe appoint Louis Carey as a temporary manager.. * Now appoint Billy Davies.. You are having a very serious day RR....
McInnes will be here until atleast February because as per usual our board are to slow to react. We will admit defeat and try when we get relegated we will look to build again. We're going down this year. Simple as. Di Canio would be my option if we could get a new manager
If it happens the mad Italian for me. If its **** he blames the players if it's great it's down to him. Reminds me of Clough mad as a hatter.
ROD my concern here is the guy again has been in management two minutes, great players do not always make good managers,my opinion he is still learning his trade,we need a proven manager to come in. This would be a gamble in my opinion.
Red mate your contradicting yourself, you say Carey short term, I know but still saying it but he has no experiance what so ever. Against someone who has been a manger now for coming upto 2 years won promotion in the first and the tin pot cup. Davies took Derby up and failed a few times with Forest in the play offs? We all want to be successful but unfortunetely with Davies it won't last.
Di Canio would be very interesting and fun and could be a massive gamble that everyone is willing to take, the worry I have is if it isn't going his way, maybe the sort that would just walk. Hoddle would be good but would need time, of which I think many would give him, as I think he is an excellent manager and knows how to play "the right way" Curbs, would be great but I'm not sure would be interested. Billy Davies doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. I hear, Clive Allen has now obtained all his badges etc, again would be a massive gamble, but hey we're used to that! He has worked with the best....there is a difference. Who I would really really like but it's never gonna happen, unless SL wants to sacrfice his Christmas bonus is my original request.....Roberto!! Come on SL, you know it makes sense!!!!!!
Got sunderland promoted with 100 odd points to the premiership, the hard man to really tell our under achieving players that they need to get their act together or they're out on their ear Can think alot worse appoinments we can make..
For some reason Davies wasn't even in the betting running (Skybet) last time around, before we appointed DM Not sure why
Wiz suggested Carey short term,I only said short term if the right man was not avaliable.certainly not long term.
Sorry,I never suggested Carey for any management role,I was repeating comments made on other threads,I think Carey is a great City boy, never a manager....
It was me who said Carey, but not that I wanted him. I said it would not surprise me if they went that route as we all know they like to do that sort of thing. Interesting selections Onefor, my concern with Hoddle is he has been out of the game in that capasity now for a while. But probably still can do it. Di Mateo would get everyone excited but he has been on big bucks now with big buck transfers so can't see that happening. Curbishley is a non starter as he has apparently already declined us. Would be my perfect choice for DOF though, I know you don't like it but each to their own. Clive Allen is a good shout but probably would want some stability to start with. Like you I just don't rate mouthy twat Billy Davies.
I was one of them He didn't even have a price before, though I would have considered him to be one of the favourites
Guys, last time we changed manager the final two were Mark Robins and Del. Anyone thinking of a glamorous big name is going to be sorely disappointed I'd have thought.
And for the record.. Everyone shouting from the rafters about Dave Jones last time... Remind me where Wednesday are currently? No manager guarantees success and frankly there are not many out there at the moment that would realistically come here fill me with any greater sense of optimism than Del. The players are not performing and the buck stops with them, to go from the Boro' peformance to the Wolves one is unacceptable and they are to blame.
