I don't follow particularly follow football these days apart from on here, but a fascinating story Ian Drury would be chuffed about. Businessman Glenn Tamplin bought the club and even recently managed them for a period. They are in the 7th tier, but he wants to be in football league within 5 years. This season he has brought in Paul Konchelsky, Jermaine Pennant, Jamie O Hara. He claims he 'interviewed' 14 premier league players, including Carlton Cole, but most didn't have the right attitude. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40997071http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40997071 BBC are streaming their fa cup tie at 12.30 tomorrow
I hope that he's asked Joyce and Vicki's if he's doing the right thing. If he hasn't then he's a blinking thickie.
Always pissed myself at ... I got right up between her Rum and her Ribena. Is that what is meant by businessman Glenn Tamplin bought the club and recently managed them for a period.
A thing that happens with old age, I can remember exactly where I was when I first heard this album 40 years ago, and yet I have no idea what I had for tea yesterday.
Saw Dury at Brid Spa. It was wonderful. Reminded me of days as when I was a nipper and my old folks used to take me in various West Hull pubs which were packed, with some old bugger hammering out tunes on the old joanna and everyone singing along. Steaming. And its quite nostalgic to listen to ID crooning away. Lovely.
Rumour has it that it was this song that saw the demise of the group. Some of em didn't see the need for the language, Timothy.
"Billericay's ground has 50 seats for disabled children, who receive free admission, food and drink." What?! Surely they should pay the same as everyone else? He'll never be a successful business man with crazy ideas like that. His CV is no doubt very poor...
