Dont think we missed out on him, he helped out in defence towards the end when we had Fontaine suspended. But if we really wanted him we would of at least negotiated for him.

He was a battering ram but not the sort of player to pass out from defence. Most of his passes flew over the heads of our forwards.

 

I appreciate the concerns of some of our supporters in suggesting that this guy slipped through our net, especially after his spell at City last season, but the simple fact of the matter is that if he was interested in signing for us then the deal would have been done some time ago.

Whether the resons were financial or personal it doesn't matter any more so let's move on and focus on Satutday's game vs Blackburn.

 

Not on our horizon. Did the job he was brought in to do.

Del thought he wasn't required long term.
