NO THEY HAVEN'T! Timmy Thomson: "...Big Tax Case - "the payments are loans, not earnings, and so are recoverable from the employee or his state..." "...In other words a lot of former Rangers directors - THE MEN WHO WALKED AWAY - may well have to pay up like the PAYE world does..."
Looks like a draw Rangers were not liable, the recipients are, I think If only this broke before liquidation I expect a few rushed autobiographies for Christmas
HMRC are saying they might appeal the appeal. ...and Murray wants to go after Rangers Tax Case according to this. http://news.stv.tv/scotland/201690-rangers-tax-case-tribunal-rules-462m-bill-substantially-reduced/
Rangers never cheated then? 54 and counting then? Thought as much Harry hood in suicide bid Venom is a virgin
Um, no. The only thing I've read that seems really explicit is that Rangers went to great lengths to hide the payments from the governing bodies and the authorities (and the bit I've read which is on Twitter so...) and even the auditors. Don't know whether that stuff will be used in the SPL probe, though - I wouldn't imagine they could use it.
Any company worth its salt tries to "get out" of paying its dues, especially when it comes to tax. Quite why the Tims are so shocked is beyond me, especially when you see that there are 4 different Celtics registered at Celtic Park. What could be the reason for that? Companies have a duty to their shareholders to maximise profits and through minimising its tax liabilities it can deliver a better return for shareholders.
I feel sorry for the poor sod that went to all that trouble setting up a website, twitter feed, writing a book, spending weeks of his life "investigating"
