I have heard from a reputable source within the club that Waddock is set to leave in the summer and be replaced by a joint managerial dream team of Chris Coleman and Ian Dowie. Coleman and Dowie, who both worked at Coventry are said to be thrilled by the move whilst Waddock is disappointed but phelgmatic about the prospect. Hayes considers the potential appointment 'too good to turn down'. Apparently he is also said to have muttered 'such is life'. Dowie of course was interviewed by the board for the job in January but turned it down and Waddock was eventually appointed, so one can see the connection there. All I can say is that this is hot off the press, so make of it what you will. I can hear Blue Soldier now: "Coleman and Dowie's barmy blue army". And the even more original: "Coleman, give us a wave". In other Wanderers news, it is believed that there is a rift in the camp between Bull and Arnold as petty as one could possibly imagine - over the number of shots taken at them in training. Reserve Arnold, already pained at his lack of first team action, was said to be in tears at the lack of activity in practise and feels as though Bull and goalkeeping coach Martin Brennan are 'united against me like a pack of wolves hunting their prey'. Again, such shocking news, it really had to be heard to be believed. Another shunned first teamer, Stuart Green is also said to be inconsolable after being told yet again to stay away from the ground on Saturday. Stuart was going to turn up before kick off and introduce himself to vast swathes of youngsters who managed to snag a ticket for community day this weekend but was advised not to appear because 'nobody knows who the hell you are'. Incredible that the club would treat a player in this way, isn't it? I'm truly appalled. What price a pitch invasion in protest at these events on Saturday?
This ranks right up there with the rumours of Lionel Messi and David Villa coming as part of a swap deal with Bennett and Strevens!!
What, you mean this isn't true?? I wish people would stop posting made up rumours, it's very annoying.....!! Another April Fool I heard was that we're moving to a 20,000 seater stadium with Wasps and Hayes has got the council to pay for it. Oh hang on a minute... Good work JS, very imaginative.
