he had to sell keanes buys to spend most of it though, keanes buys were bought by drumaville, yes short had to buy the club and has spent on wages (but then whats the TV/merchandise/gate receipts for) and we have a wage cap which probably isnt much more than when keane was in charge (it may even be less as far as i know). All bruce does is give a list of names to Quinn and Short if they say no (which sounds like they did for a striker in jan) then its tough **** bruce, or if they say you have to sell to buy, then he has to sell (which he has had to do for the most part).

Steve point taken, but drumaville and Short have been saviours for our club.I just think Bruce has taken us as far as he can.

Well i dont believe he has, every manager makes screw ups in the transfer market, its not just bruce, injuries, he cant be blamed for all of them, but they are having a look at that as well at the end of the season.

and you just have to look at Everton and Chelsea, Everton are always slow starters but this year no strikers for the 1st couple of months, 3-4 from bottom, Chelsea without lampard and Terry in the middle of the season, 8 games without a win or something (when we beat them).

If they can fail miserably with injuries and thats only to a few players, what chance have we got with a full 1st team out.

posts are nyour total posts to date and points is some crappy thing to get everyone more active, but i never take any notice of them personally.

Steve,it looks like Ancelotti will be gone by the seasons end.But thats the media circus lets wait and see

He very well may be but thats Chelea for you, they want the league and Champions League, if they dont get that its not good enough, we havnt quite reached those heights yet, and i wasnt really getting at keeping/getting rid of the manager, was just stating that even the big teams with a few injuries can struggle big time, so what chance have we got.

Yeah your right there. Its that magic carpet mate lol. On a lighter note Wheatsheaf 11 bells, good glug and shout the lads on i say.
Cheers for the banter
