We are spending big on wages but not on transfer fees. Southampton and West Ham have spent more. So why do the papers keep saying big spending QPR got thumped by little spending Swansea. It is possible even they have spent more than us?
no ...its as it says on the tin....you can have the best players and put them on high wages but if the main man the manager is not up to the job then you wont win many games......sparky has to be replaced if qpr want to stay in the premiership....
We have spent very little on transfers, I think less than 10 million although that's hard to clarify due to "undisclosed fees". Most of the wages we are paying are actually the norm in the prem. We have picked up a lot of free transfers. Even though we have signed 8 players our transfer activity can't be classed as outlandish or extravagant.
QPR have a net spend of £1.5 million this transfer window - from MH himself! Big spending? Got to laugh that after one game the Swansea manager is a god and all of a sudden will keep Swansea up. Yes he may do, but its one sodding game. Get a grip for christ sake!
Is that why you lost your manager, lost your best player, and will lose Sinclair because on 'the tin' it says Wales?
True, but we've always improved and departures have usually been a blessing in disguise. Allen isn't worth £15M in a month of Sundays, and Rodgers isn't as good as he or the media think he is. Sinclair will be replaced by Pablo Hernandez if he decides to go - a much better player. I disagree with some of the above. Hughes will sort it out, and yesterday was just a quirky result. Great for us, bad for you. Neither team will be near relegation imo.
No. Thats what Blackburn wanted. We wanted to pay half that. A tribunal will set the fee (if it hasnt already) and will be much lower than 4m - they always are.
So Ji-Sung Park was free? ESPN quoted the fee at £2-5m, so at the very least he cost the same as Michu.
I see, fair one But Im guessing the big spending phrase mostly comes from your probable wages. They may be the norm for a big team such as spurs or Liverpool but for a team with only one year experience it will be seen by most as big spending. It's all relative I guess.
What's the point in discussing spending?? Really?? Unless you're associated with the club, you would literally know f*** all.
Only one game....is this the game where every qpr fan said you were going to walk it and we wont even score.. only one game maybe but it carries on from where you left off last season by letting other teams save your skin....have you learned anything from that??? it dont look like, same tactless game plan from sparky.nothing changed at qpr then and certain relegation candidates if things dont change you can bet on it....
Mate, you won the game fair and square, no-one is disputing that. We were poor and deserved to lose. BUT... to harp on about "the same tactless game plan from sparky"? I think you will find last season in several games MH's tactics won us vital games, including you guys at LR. We beat you, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Stoke on the trot. That doesnt happen by accident! MH had a clearly different gameplan for each game. No disputing he got it badly wrong yesterday. But if your going to say something, at least make it true. Did we let other teams save our skin? Ok Bolton went down on the last day with an easier fixture, but we beat Stoke the week before - if we had only drawn (and we were until 89 mins) we would have gone down, no?
From what I've seen, pretty much every Swans fan thought the same thing before the game. Fact is we both had new people out there and Swans came out way on top. Great for you, **** for us for now. Enjoy the moment.
