Odious Billy Big Bollox somehow manages to dupe yet another PL chairman. He left Charlton in the ****. He left West Ham bottom. And he left Newcastle & Palace in the brown stuff. And yet he still gets another job. Many fond memories of Pardew’s time at Charlton, from wasting £9m on Macleod, Varney and Gray to insisting the club upgraded his Mercedes ..at the same time as ordinary staff were losing their jobs.
He's only got an 18 month contract. If they stay up he'll probably get another lucrative 5-year contract before getting sacked 6 months later after a run of losses. It's what pardew does.
A lot of players who end up leaving football talk about the “old friends act”. Players who haven’t been up to the PL standard for years but agents are able to pass them around, and managers in the same vein. I imagine ****** is an example.
Witness the way Pardew immediately employed John Carver as his No.2 at WBA - his best mate in football and the same John Carver who ripped Newcastle a new backside when he was their manager. The reaction of the Toon fans yesterday was brilliant...and the West Ham fans...and Southampton fans ...
West Brom are imploding Perennially Boring Gareth Barry steals a taxi while drunk in the same week the WBA Chairman & CEO are sacked by the Chinese owner. When West Brom are relegated this season you can guarantee two things - the skunk Pardew will walk off with a pay out...and relegation will be everyone else’s fault.
Pardew’s options at Premier League level will be over after WBA. He has left every single club he has managed in the sh1t.
He was once considered for the head coach of the England's Women team,.... for the life of me I can't think why he didn't get it?
Even Murray told a story about how Pardew asked for an upgrade on his company Merc at Charlton - at the same time as staff were being made redundant.
Pity about West Bromwich Albion. A Club with a long and (mostly) glorious history who were 'in and out' Premiership strugglers during our mid-table years there, but returned in 2010 and had a couple of decent seasons. But they have not pushed on and haven't looked safe for a few years now. Employing Pulis was not a smart move in my view, and taking on Pardew was an obvious mistake. The Chinese need to sack him right now or their stay in the top flight is definitely over. The camera likes Pardew, so he will probably end up on MOTD or one of the football channels.
Onest Arry's property development firm is at present trying to push through a gentrification scheme in Bournemouth which will make over 30 people homeless. Frying pan and fire indeed.
