I know I'm the only one here not currently banned from FF, so thought I'd pass on the rumour doing the rounds there at the moment:

supposedly Brian Kennedy has agreed to work with the Blue Knights and the consortium will be named preferred bidder tomorrow

    Time will tell.

Think Villa fans sang it to Brum fans a couple of years ago too. You think the 'big hoose' guy will boycott McDonalds Harry?

I cant see too much happening unless the combined cash of the True Blue Brown Shoe Knights and J.F Kennedy is somehow adding up to enough of a wedge that HMRC ( and possibly ticketus ) are letting Fudd & Felch know that thats the level they are willing to cut their loses at and enter a C.V.A.

That said....If I was a hun Id be worried about HMRC accepting a c.v.a on the small tax case...getting some dosh and then not accepting it applying to the big tax case ( which is of course a seperate entity ), moving again for liquidation and sale of any remaining assets...therefore fulfilling some of their obligation to recoup taxpayers money while also managing to set the example and precedent that they wish to pursue.

^^^ fud, everything is a negative with you lot eh? Nothing positive to say anywhere, McCoist could save a drowning kid and you'd pick something wrong with it.

If McCoist is the one saving you from drowning you really have no business being near a pool

"SPL chairman Ralph Topping claimed earlier this month that two potential title sponsors have pulled out because of recent bad publicity."

what he means is that sponsors don't want a league that has no TV coverage and TV companies don't want an SPL without old firm games.

lawell's remarks about celtic not needing rangers are based on the fact that he believes celtic will get in to the champions league every year and make money from that. (a bit silly when you look at their recent record in europe)
UEFA already think that the SPL is weak so what will they think if it's a one horse race.
Celtic will spend every year facing 3 qualifying ties just to reach the competition and how will they attract players to a backwater with no TV coverage, no money and no guarantee of European football.
it will be a downward spiral that will finish with most SPL clubs in administration.

Clubs will cut their cloth accordingly

In fact as rangers won't fail to pay there football debts when liquidated, sales of players to clubs with actual money will keep things going. Division 1-3 don't need rangers to survive

And if there is no tv deal then Celtic will sell their games via internet as they do already for fans in America

    Simple really
