<grr><grr><grr><grr> This season I have been unable to go due mainly to cost and partly through health.

I have followed our club since the early 50's and live and die all things Saints. Have I become a plastic?

Great for those in full health and no monetary worries but I refuse to count myself as a plastic. <grr><grr><grr><grr>

Answer.......... by encouraging them to come to games like this to savour and enjoy their local team. Making them welcome and to showing them what they are missing.........Not by hassling them. Next year in my opinion the gates will probably go up anyway. Are you going to start hassling these extra attendees just because they weren't here last season? Or are you going to encourage them to bring their mates along to swell the crowd?....Which in turn brings in extra money for the club to spend maybe on the players you would like to see here at St Mary's.
So think on Guys and Gals before criticising those extra fans, just think what you are doing and what they can do to help?

and yes, I'll be there waving to you Saturday, just look for the ugly one in Kingsland North wearing a white shirt with a red sash, I'll be waving & jumping up & down like crazy, you wont be able to miss me<laugh>
 
The only people who should be regarded as plastics are those who moan all year about not going and THEN make special efforts to go to particular games like this one (and Pompey/Man Utd) instead of whenever they possibly can throughout the season.

Those who can't go regularly but go to games whenever they can get my support, just not those that only come to the 'big games' and every game when we enter the Premier League in a year or two.

I wobn't be going Sunday, travelling down twice in one weekend is too expensive despite the tickets being free. I wish I was going however and would be if I lived in Southampton or nearby.

Saturday should however be good :D
 
In spite of work, I do variable shifts, I have managed to see all the home games except Plymouth and Manure, that's the benefit of having good mates and a flexible management.
