    Stupid idea going after Big Sam IMHO. Not because he wouldn't do a job, but because it would make the club look desperate. If he then said no, as he said he would in his Standard column, we'd be publicly humiliated. Rightly or wrongly, Ellis wanted DA, went after him immediately and got him. Job done, let's move on.

    What about Koeman ? he never played or managed before in the premier league, sold all of Soton's best players and look what they have done !. Advocaat has been brought in for nine matches then ousted because he will want big money in the summer, so Fred blogs will be coming in in the summer, and depending what division we are in, most likely the Hartlepool manager, if he keeps them up (and I hope he does)
