Its not as if no one has been warned about FFP. Personally, I think that for once we got ahead of the game and are now recovering from that initial impact. Quite what action taken, particularly when it involves Champions League teams remains to be seen, but teams cant go on like for ever. Portsmouths situation ought to act as a big enough warning.
I also noticed it was the figure ending July 2013, so **** me imagine what the figure will be ending July 2014? They have a small ground that takes up to 12,000'ish, Eddie Mitchell built the temporary stand before he left, so that must of cost a pretty penny, the Russian 'owner' has 'lent' them over £15 m before this season started and with the new Financial Fair Play rules mean the Cherries must almost halve that £15m loss by December of this year, or face transfer restrictions, doesn't look good
Football at any level is a very expensive game If Sky walked away (unlikely, granted) then the Premiership, bar possibly Arsenal, would be wiped out overnight. What a thought, we'd be back in the Championship !
