http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/page/LatestNews/0,,10421~2523941,00.html He's been recalled by Blackpool and is set to join Sheffield Wednesday instead. Reminds me of the Hameur Bouazza situation with us a few years ago. Thought Llera played okay the other day, I was drooling at the prospect of BWP making a fool of him but he did quite well.
I also see that Nathan Ecclestone has returned to Liverpool sooner than expected? http://www.football365.com/league-one/7323853/Eccleston-departs-Rochdale
FHB, I loved Big Mig being at Charlton and was disappointed that he wasn't offered a contract, his long-range passing was brilliant, he was class in the air and could take a decent free-kick, but defensively..."He aint got a clueeee" Surprised Ecclestone made very little impact at Rochdale, anyone know whether they were playing him upfront or on the wing? Thought he was more dangerous as the latter.
The 20-year-old, who has previously enjoyed spells with Huddersfield and Charlton, marked his Dale debut with a goal in the 3-1 defeat to Exeter last month, but he failed to find the net again in six subsequent appearances. I know that's not what they meant, but I'm not sure he particularly enjoyed his spell with Charlton, as he hardly played! I love this description http://www.brentford.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=263099 Twitter is ablaze with gossip that defender Miguel Llera is joining Sheffield Wednesday. The marmite defender is currently on a three month loan from Blackpool which is not due to end until early December but it is believed that he can be recalled at 24 hour's notice.
Bit of a waste, why isn't he being played by Blackpool? Over the 2 seasons I didn't see much wrong with his defensive capabilities.
It certainly seems very odd to sign an experienced player in August on a 1 year deal, then send him out on loan a month later. It suggests either Holloway changed his mind after seeig him in close up, or that Big Mig was shagging someone's wife and needed to get out of Blackpool quickly
