One of three tv shows to watch football back in the day is on and NUFC are on soon. It’s on ITV 4. Other tv shows being M of the D and the one on Wednesday nights (can’t remember it’s name). Not forgetting Shoot which was the Tyne Tees version of the Big Match. Worth watching at least for the oldies. A time you could watch what was known as a physical game.
Yeah sometimes it was the big match, used to like the theme tune, sometimes it was Shoot. Wednesday was Sportsnight with Coleman
I remember watching us play Derby in the FA Cup quarter final in 1976 at the Baseball Ground. I don’t think there was a single blade of grass on their pitch.
I've recorded a few involving us from last week, 1 was against Man Utd I think. No idea if we lose like
You count the number of goals each side scores in the opposition net and the one with the most is the winner and if they are equal then it’s a draw.
Thought it was pretty obvious if I'd recorded it and didn't know if we'd won then I probably haven't watched it
Not what I’ve heard. I didn’t want to raise it on the open forum but if you want to pm me about the weekly visits to AA and I don’t mean the car lot either maybe we can keep a lid on it
I remember when that twatface Elton whatever used to present the big match on Sundays, before the Sky take over. Liverpool would always be on and John Barnes would always be given man of the match by Jimmy Greaves.
