Just read over on OTIB about the current situation on the BJA statue and I learn that the fund for the statue is nearly complete and the people who are dealing with it will soon be at the stage of discussions as to what pose we want the statue made and where to place it plus other things.

This has got me thinking, what pose would I like and where to place it.

Here are a couple of ideas regarding the pose...

Please excuse quality of pics, my preference would be example 3 of these but would look at others and placed in front of the main entrance doors of the Williams after the rebuild..

What are your thoughts or ideas..?

That was my thread <laugh> I thought the club had given up on the idea as all talk of it seemed to have just vanished, only a little link at the top of the otib provides any information and it obviously hasn't been updated since 2010/11. Glad to see it is almost reached it's target fund and it would be a great touch to add once our stadium has been completed.

When are we getting a statue of AD or Gerry Gow ?
They stage-managed the most successful era in the club's history, and turned the general BCFC profile from Div 3 to Div 2. They also gave the Bristol public the ride of their lives back in the 70s.
