Six trees gonna be executed tomorrow in my garden, by those very nice people who know a thing or two about how to use their choppers! I felt a bit sorry for the trees, and tried to come up with something that would make them feel a bit better about it. All I've been able to come up with is to ask them "any last birds"? What ya think?
Here's a true story about trees. I worked for a Greek shipping family as head of security many moons ago. It was a few weeks before Christmas and they had a Christmas tree delivered from Norway and had it erected in their back garden (14 acres) what surprised me is they had it chopped down not transplanted. Anyway 2-3 days later I had to arrange acces to the garden for a tree surgeon who was arranging the chopping down of a huge tree that was dieseased. The mother (who wanted Christmas tree) and I quote stated, "that poor tree, I do so hate it when something dies" she was stood next to the ****ing Christmas tree! Sorry if that bored you but I am bored waiting for the missus to get herself sorted before a day of sightseeing.
And if they were laying a lawn the boss' instruction would be............. "Green side up!!!" Coat time.
