On Ross McCormack going to Malaga.
Gone from 100/1 to evens on some sites.
    Bet Victor has gone from 50/1 - 40/1 - 20/1 - 16/1 - 10/1 - 7/1 - 5/1 - 3/1 and now 6/4.
That's not just 1 bet, but several substancial bets.

    Any rumours up there?

I laughed so loud when I read this. Rossco is actually in Malaga on holibags with 3 other players. I posted this on another thread so Este could pop down to see him. He's been photographed with fans in bars. Doesn't sound like an interview process to me.

Got a market tracker that notifies me on any big betting moves for horse-racing and football specials - this one stood out like a sore thumb.
Could be a few wealthy eejits spotted McCormack in Malaga and had a punt, or could be that he's there on a business holiday <whistle>

TC, the market regarding these ''bets'' are usually pretty weak and bookies will sometimes contract the price without any money going down at all. The fact he's in Malaga and it's the end of season I would think they panicked a little with the 100/1 quote and shortened it up. Now it look's like loads of money has come for him to the normal betting public and people think someone must know something and people rush and start lumping money on it and the bookies clean up on a bet that never had any real foundation to begin with.

Obviously it's not always the case and their may be a chance the Malaga owner had a few bob on him to sign, each way of course <laugh>

I'm far more cynical than you guys. If I was an unscrupulous bookie, I think I might be floating all sorts of rumours to promote bets. Guess you could call it marketing, if you wanted to loosely label the activity.

I think you'd need to be particularly stupid & gullible to bet on this one.

(Btw, how much did you put on it, Ell?).

    Bad WJ.

You know that Ell has placed £1000 at 5/1 for whiskey chops to return to old toilet.

That's because I told him my Uncle Alex was going back to work at old toilet. Forgot to tell him he worked on the burger stall.

Ell - gullible or what, eh?

Now sell Ross and replace him with Gary Hooper now that would be interesting!

Disagree, one has proven himself quite a few times and also recently in this league that he can score and create goals whereas the other one hasn't played this league for a while and unlikely to even consider a move to us right now.

I don't get why people want us to sell our best player, we need to build around them not start each summer replacing players and starting again.

Because some are daft enough, despite experience of recent years, to believe that all the money would be reinvested in the playing staff and wed get three or four as good as Ross from the money <doh>

Well, funny you should mention "the land that time forgot."

Al Gore invented a reall cool thing - the Internet. I will type slowly to make it easier for you to understand.

Amongst other things, this Internet allows for the rapid transmission and sharing of data and information around the world almost instantaneously. One just needs the tools, curiosity and time (which you evidently have plenty of) to be able to benefit from it.

Enjoy and continue to be right there with all of the latest breaking news of our club, Leeds United!

    <cheers>

You can type it as slowly as you like, old bean, but it'll be a lie unless you delete 'Al Gore' & insert 'Sir Tim Berners-Lee'.

Yet another British invention that the septics are trying to claim as their own. <grr>
