http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2014/8/22/6056475/confirmed-midfielder-departs After pursing Alfred N'Diaye for most of the summer, Spanish side Real Betis have finally got their man with the Senegalese midfielder signing a five-year contract with the Spaniards for an initial fee reported to be around £1.3m. N'Diaye had a successful loan spell with the Andalusians in the second half of the last season and had been hoping to re-sign him but their relegation to the second tier of Spanish football meant it took some time for the midfielder to be convinced that the move was right for him. Although popular with Sunderland supporters, Gus Poyet saw no future at the club for the 24-year-old who had been originally signed by Martin O'Neill but struggled to convince Paolo Di Canio and Poyet of his worth, with the midfielder spending time on loan at Eskisehirspor and Betis last season. The highlight of his Sunderland career were the back to back wins against Newcastle and Everton at the end of the 2012-13 season, with his performance against Maourane Fellaini in particular standing out as Sunderland narrowly avoided relegation. This move will hopefully free up further funds to strengthen before the end for the transfer window but we wish Alfred N'Diaye all the best on his move. Shame to see him go but we move on!
Yes shame I thought he was beginning to look the part before he went on loan but suppose its a wage freed up
I always thought the lad could do a job for us, but I suppose it's telling that there were no offers for him other than a second division Spanish team. Good luck to him though!
i think he did ok when playing for us i just dont think he's gus type of player and he was a mon siging so probably on silly money
