Have you ever been to a bog in Argentina? please log in to view this image - ah no that's what they are like in China - not usually that clean though
What's it all about, is it back pain or something? Never mind the searing agony that tears through your ankles after ten minutes of squatting like that.
Is it the tv friendly equivalent of whipping yourself as masochistic punishment, when they're 3-0 up does he sit in an orthopaedic chair with a cigar and brandy.
Guillem Balague has reported that it is because of back pain, a legacy of an injury he suffered when he was playing.
It seems bonkers to me, when I get a bad back the best thing to do is sit in a comfortable chair, you'd think with his money he'd be able to sort something out.
I usually find it's best to lay down on my back on a hard flat floor. Can't imagine he's able to do that at the match. Squatting might help stretch it out a bit, can see it might help to be honest
I read somewhere too that it was a bit of a sore back, but watching him he is so intense that he might not even know that he is doing it! The bloke is ill with football, with all that pacing up and down and living every minute. The story is told of him that when he was appointed as Chile boss, a big deal for Chile who were delighted, he was shown some initial accommodation in Santiago. When asked if he would need anything, he said that he would need a number of dvd players, a couple of tvs, a load of dvds of teams and players and so on, writing material and a delivery of groceries once a week. No problem they said. Then, they told him that they had his actual living accommodation ready for him to look at, this first apartment being a working base. A sumptious villa had been prepared and would he like to see it now? Bielsa was not interested. A bed, some football dvds, writing material and food was all that he wanted. Mad as a box of frogs, but his teams are great value.
Well that's the best thing but I meant if you need to look at something, I can't see how squatting would be better than a specially designed chair but I suppose he knows what he's doing.
If you squat down it stretches the bottom of your back, sitting doesn't do that no matter how good the chair. Might help ease whatever the issue is. Our lass has back issues as do I and I can't sit how she does when I have back ache (usually I'll get it when I'm under the weather), laying flat and doing some stretching is the best thing for me, chairs just don't help/ease it at all.
Fair enough, all it'd do for me is to knack my ankles as well as my back but everyone's back issues are different as you say.
You want to really live they are like that in Russia but without the porcelain in the middle just a huge hole and no particians between them you just all squat in a row, couldn’t bring myself to do it so just hung on
The smell is ripe as well, when i first walked in there was just a line of blokes squatting there having a s hit didn’t seem to have a care in the world. They are slightly different though they have two checkaplate foot pads you stick your feet in so you don’t slip
