    Arsenal have received bids for captain Robin van Persie from Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus. Looks like he's definitely off then. Who will end up where when the music stops?!

    Yeah, I wonder when we will be playing against him;
    The 19th August...
    The 2nd September...
    or the very unlikely 15th September?

    RVP was always a good player, but suddenly he was on fire last season. Good time to sell him if you have to. May prefer to go abroad again.

    I'm certain Arsenal would prefer him to go to Juventus.

    I agree, but City seems more likely to me.

    I just don't get that; surely for Arsenal fans that would be the worst possible outcome, to lose another of their stars to City. If I was in charge of Arsenal I would accept about £5m less from Juventus just to get him out of the country, I really don't think the importance of getting him as far away as possible can be underestimated.

    I think that's right. If we had, god forbid sold Rickie last year, we would have been beside ourselves if he'd gone to a top 6 Championship side!

    But, they are famously tight with money, & they are a semi feeder club for City. And if I'm brutally honest, I think RvP is try trying to get a big pay day on his last real contract. It all points towards City.

    I like RVP, Love him to stay in the PL, but PSG will get him. stupid bid 35-50m, they got the money to match any contract.

    When we were in the championship and league 1 I wanted all the star players in the prem to stay put and have more come over from italy,spain and france. But now we're in the prem I'd love for them all to be snatched abroad. Or maybe rvp can be a deadline day signing for city so we don't have to play him till city at home.

    However I see him going to united.

    With United's floatation in doubt, I don't see them having enough money.

    My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately, I think the Arsenal board will go for the largest bid (which'll probably be city).

    Yeah, and they'll be stuck with those slow old hasbeens Aguero, Tevez, and Balotelli, and we'll batter them! :D

    They're not the biggest club in the world, unless you're talking about debt of course!

    They have bid though, Ferguson just admitted it in a press conference.
