OK the bids have started to surface: DG - QPR have bid ã2.5m which has been turned down. I presume this is ã1m now, ã1m later and ã0.5m if they don't get relegated. I'm not surprised this has been rejected, as after the deductions (Carlisle sell-on clause etc), there is not enough cash on the table. Buckley - Brighton are after him ã0.5m is said to have been turned down. After the sell-on payment to Rochdale again there is little cash on the table. OK now we wait for more iinterest in more players!
Accepting even ã1.5m for Buckley would be stupid. Anyone can see that, barring serious injury, he'll be worth double that at a canter and then some after pulling it together for a whole season.
As the Steptoe's are the 2nd richest club in the universe, they should pay all upfront in new ã50 notes....
Both have the potential to be worth more and in Buckley case he won't be costing us much in terms of wages so need to keep them unless a really silly offer comes in,
Totally agreed re Buckley. Selling him for less than silly money would be a sign of very limited ambition, possibly not even in this division.
I like the way Graham has conducted himself and not been arrogant over it. He's telling us fans the truth and not trying to force a move. I just hope he doesn't go to Qpr and if he does go, it's to newcastle. The thought of Graham in a qpr shirt gives me nightmares As for Buckley, we'd be mad to sell him for 500k.
