Bid for CMS was withdrawn

City have yet to miss out on a major target and the Mercury understands City withdrew their offer to Craig Mackail-Smith before he joined Brighton & Hove Albion.

A fee had been agreed with Peterborough for the striker and he held talks with Eriksson, but City decided to focus all their attention on Maynard.

This would explain his decision to sign for Brighton and it looks like Sven is still gunning for Maynard

 

We knew this along time ago, the reason we went in for Mackail-Smith is Sven started to give up on Nugent after Prem teams went after him, we was set to sign CMS, terms agreed, medical all but completed and then Nugent verbally agreed to sign for us so we pulled the plug on CMS and got Nugent

 

Lets hope we get Maynard then.

 

Sven only wants players, who want to come to city, If Maynard wants to stay at Bristol sign the ****ing contract!
if not say you want a move and better yourself.
