  2. Lets have a look.

He's better than Ameobi, He's better than Lovenkrands, he's better than Best, He's better than Ranger.

That's why. We need another striker, not the same **** as last season.

Always played out of position at Arsenal, I believe his sub appearances have been on the wings instead of upfront most of the time. With a run of games he could be a good striker for us.

With a run of games he'd be good for us but I'd question if he'd get that many games (second choice to Ba for me and cant play the HBA role either).

Not the sort of player we need, we have 6" plus strikers already we need a striker with some pace and skill

    He's left footed isn't he?

Straight in at left back

I think he's better than what we've got, would like to see him score the winner against arsenal...

A few mates are Gooners and they feel that whenever Bendtner comes on; Wenger is clutching at straws.

I'm not a fan of Bendtner at all but he looks like the only option left before we get to, shudder the thought, Carlton Cole and Cameron Jerome. :(

Surely a striker isnt our main priority right now? we need 2 full backs desperately. Simpson isnt good enough

He's scored in the Prem, knows what it's about, I'd take him.

I think Simpson is one player who has constantly improved ever since he joined us and it was clear last season how much his game has came on since he joined us and he deserves the chance to start the season.

Raylor and Saylor can play at right back and Pearch can play at RB and LB (if he stays) so we have enough cover for right back, but I agree we do need another left back badly now Jose is finally leaving.

    As for Bendtner -

    Champions league = 30 appearances 9 goals 2 assists
    FA cup = 14 games 7 goals 3 assists
    League Cup = 20 games 9 goals 3 assists

These are the games where he's spent the majority of his game time at Arsenal. As someone pointed out when he is played in the league he usually comes on as a sub for 10 - 15 minutes and is played out wide. It can take a player 10 minutes to get used to the tempo of the game and who he is playing alongside / how he is deployed in a game let alone change the game, so I wouldn't focus too much on his league record which is -

    140 appearances 33 goals 20 assists.

(42 of those appearances were at Birmingham)

If we sign him and he gets the run of games we need we'll have a brilliant foil for Ba and a striker who will score goals and get assists.

Apart from being a total knobhead, I would be happy with Bendtner.

On the pitch he causes problems for defenders and would be a good presence.

Left back is essential first though.

never been convinced with him. he has a higher opinion of himself than his ability suggests he should. he's too similar to what we have so our options are diminished where you compare the options we could have if we signed a short pacey box player
