Darrell Clarke is targeting "wide players" and "midfield creators." Rovers players report back for pre-season training on 30th June and Clarke hopes to have brought in a few more new faces by then. He anticipates tabling a bid for an unnamed winger later this week and has revealed plans to run the rule over "eight or nine" trialists during pre-season. Clarke said: "I'd like to get another two or three in before the start of the season and I'm after wide players and creative midfielders. There may be an offer going out later in the week for a wide player, but we will have to wait and see. I won't be rushed into anything and I want to take my time if it means getting the right players. I'll be looking at eight or nine players in pre-season. I won't name them all now, but they will have an opportunity to impress in friendly games and on the training pitch. I can take a few weeks to look at them properly and they will have the chance to show me what they can do." Taken from the Post.
'I'd like to get another 2 or 3 in before the start of the season' DC. He'd better get a few more than that in!!
think he means 2 or 3 to sign then look at the trialists and if we still need players he will look at loans.
not so sure about that. its not the end of the week yet and im under the impression that a bid would mean a bid made to a club and gosling is a free agent. im just presuming
Looked composed and took his chance well. If he can play like that for us could be exciting times ahead!
