Interesting that Bowen is favourite given his whole career so far has been as an assistant and the only game he is recorded as having managed he lost.

Hes got plenty of experience as an assistant and working with the youth at those clubs.

Its a gamble taking him going with a scot to a welshman but hopefully he could following in the footsteps of other assistant managers come managers

**** me! Too many of these are 'nice' and/or not that successful. But we all knew this if Del went.

We need someone who can give the players a massive kick up the arse. One of the key things Harry Rednap said at the beginning of his qpr role is if the players don't sweat blood and tears he will find 11 players that will. If he managed Fonteine he'd sub him within 2 minutes. Too many players are too comfortable and they need the fear if loosing their jobs for being ****, even if it means having to pay some of them off.

I put on another thread; Joe Jordan with Alec Russell.
One older wiser head who does not suffer fools and the upcoming coach who appears to be doing well with our under 21's.

I would be prepared to lay odds on us actually selecting the RIGHT manager of 1,000,000 to 1. Any takers?

At least nobody has put forward Victoria Beckham's husband. Is that because he hasn't any managerial experience?

    O'Driscoll now 4/7 on.

I have been sprouting on about Di Canio but if we get O'Driscoll I would be more than happy, especially if he turned down Blackpool and to some extent Barnsley to choose us, means that he feels we can go places <ok>

O'Driscolls odds of going to Blackpool now at 4/1 if the bookies picked managers O'Driscoll would be appointed now! But good thing is Cotterill now falling heavy, even though I don't want him he could still install some bollocks into the team.

Bookies dont know anything. None of them picked McLeish for Forest.

For the first time in 200+ posts I am agreeing with Lan_Lodger and picking Gary Megson. He has plenty of dog-fight experience and would take no prisoners.

Read this off his Wikipedia page and then tell me that this is not EXACTLY what we need right now.

    Coaching style
Darren Huckerby criticised Megson's coaching style, when explaining why he chose to sign for Norwich City, instead of Megson's West Bromwich Albion. "I told him I didn't like the way he coached, I didn't like the way he shouted at his players and didn't like the way he treated seasoned professionals like 15-year-olds. I was just being honest with him. I said: 'I've seen you on the sidelines and you look like a crazed animal'".[29] According to Huckerby, Megson's response was that "He told me that was how he had to work with his players".[29

I know Cotterill sounds like one of us, but can't get excited about him if he gets it. Will support him but not who I would choose
