It was never going to be an easy game against an organised Swansea side. I thought first half was a very close call. We'd shaded the first 20 mins before Swansea came back into it.

Then second half Swansea looked good. We had chances (i'll get to those in a minute!) but in terms of general play we were on the back foot for spells. We looked very deep. I can understand Bruce wanting us to be hard to break down and then hit them on the break but we had nobody charging forward to counter them. We needed to put far more pressure on the ball and work harder when we haven't got it.

I thought Colback was excellent on the left. Not a natural winger but I would happily play him there again. Composed, solid, combative. Sess was our spark up top. He looks so comfortable on the ball, always ready to run at them, get stuck in and can play a killer pass...it's just a shame Gyan wasn't reading from the same page...

He looked better than he did v the mags but still nothing like the Gyan we saw last season. He got himself into the right areas but squandered 3 big chances, chances that (dare I say it?) B£nt would have buried...

At the back we did a decent job. They put us under pressure and got a fair amount of chances but only really had 1 possibly 2 clear cut chances. Ferdinand and Brown looked composed. Bardsley played well and O'Shea was solid. They got a clean sheet away so they must have done something right.

So overall it looked better. Nothing special but better than the Brighton horror show. However each match that goes by it becomes even more painfully obvious we need a goal poacher. Not particularly a target man IMO just a goal machine. Somebody who can create something out of nothing. Wickham looked decent today and we have Ji, both of whom will adjust to the prem and are both tall lads.

We lack a natural finisher. Get one of those and we'll be pressing up the league in no time. If we're done for the summer and don't sign anyone...then there is definitely some cause for concern...

I agree, we all know and Bruce knows we need a goal scorer and thats what we hope to have for the chelsea game. Despite all the bad bits, and there are bad bits, we made the chances and if we had that goalscorer we would be on 7 points now at least. All down to taking those chances so lets get that new signing and when it clicks we will be fine, IMO

    We weren't playing Barcelona.

We were playing a team new to the league.

Where do you think (In Your Opinion) they will finish this season? They matched us and at times betterede us. All the money, all the experience gained in the last 4 prem seasons. Counted for nothing. Its either our players (most now brought in by SB), or the tactics (SB) the heart (SB) or bad luck that is putting us where we are.

Go on. Say we are unlucky!

Tell that to Swansea who twatted the crossbar in the first half.

I thought Sunderland did well - they stopped us playing football and were the better team in the first half. We are not Barcelona, but we are no mugs either. A draw was a fair result. <ok>

are you related to MrRAW, I agree BTW and this newly promoted mug type comment is very disrespectful. You are a prem team, Man U no but a prem team all the same.

I apologise. It wasn't meant to be derogatory, only I wanted more from my team.

Hey! If it helps, you Taffs weren't playing Barcelona either!

we also hit the bar after two minutes, gyan missed a few 1 on 1's and 1 of those benno was going mental cos gyan did'nt square the ball to whickham who had an open goal.get a good striker in before chelski and i would drop gyan to the bench cos he seems to think that he's the only 1 who can score.

To be fair I thought Swansea deserved all the points. We were completely impotent in attack

Sunderland had the better chances but throughout this season I have a feeling that Michael Vorm will prove to be a top Premiership keeper.

I wouldn't blame your strikers - today you were "Vormed"!

Just seen it on MOTD and too be fair the defender was well placed to stop the square ball and I think 9 times out of 10 any Prem striker would have taken the shot on, just a shame he could not produce the finish

Bill, if you ran a business and had an employee who told you he wanted to leave, tried to hold you to ransom and then shagged your daughter into the bargain you don't strike me as the type of fella who would bend over backwards to keep said **** on your payroll.

You strike me as the type of fella who would fill him in so I don't think we can blame Bruce for "selling" Bent, the ****er wanted to go no matter what.
