End game approaches now. A reasonable enough letter form Ehab but nothing different to what has already been said. So the Allams lose the vote, what happens next? Will it be a pyrrhic victory? As accountants there will be an exit strategy in mind. Who will or can buy us? There is no other local investor so are we at the mercy of a foreign investor with a questionable past and financially unstable future? Will the Allams put us up for sale and slowly sell off, drip by drip, the playing staff. Hudd and a few others in the summer, with no credible replacements. I would imagine it will take a few years to recoup their money but they arent going away without it. Once they get their money they can sell at a reasonable price. Either way they will be stay away owners. So what next for City?
I can't see the them sticking to their word but fingers crossed its not another lie and they'll be off soon.
Mr Allam has put a lot of effort into leaving a legacy that shows him as a kind benevolent man, but this will ruin all that. His legacy will be to serve as an example of why you shouldn't ignore your customer base. I find myself thinking of the old joke about Sheepshagger John: A man goes into a pub in a small town and, for whatever reason, gets introduced to the clientele. Thereâs Farmer Jack, Barman Jim, Maurice âDancerâ and Sheepshagger John. After a few pints, the visitorâs curiosity gets the better of him and he asks John whatâs with the nickname. âSee this pub?â asks John, "I built it, but they donât call me Pubbuilder John? Iâm the local doctor, I saved Barman Jimâs life once when he choked on a peanut, but they donât call me Lifesaver John. Every year, I supply a huge Christmas tree for the village green, but the donât call me Christmas Tree John. âBut you shag one lousy sheepâ¦â
Who for? Balram Chainrai? Ken Bates? Some insane Indian chicken farmers? No one with half a brain would buy the Allams out of this club unless they saw a quick profit in it for themself. Over £100m for a club with no assets, only a fool would consider.
The club has far more debt than value, so AA has little to no chance of selling the club for what it's cost him and he won't write off the debt. I don't think he's going anywhere, if the FA reject the application, he'll simply pretend he never said anything about leaving.
I can't seem to have an opinion without DMD moving my posts. So I will try to keep it to a high standard (then maybe DMD wont move/delete it) NO matter what AA does to the club, we, the fans, appear to have lost the club. If he pulls out, we will enter liquidation. If the name change goes through, many fans will pull their support to the club. That may not be a bad thing cause then it will leave what's left of the club to us real fans. I regard myself as a real fan as I will support them through thick and thin. Only supporting them if they are called Hull City isn't much different to saying "I will only support them whilst they are in the premier league" NOW do you see why I refer to all those against as shallow? I hope this clears up why I think that CTWD are nothing but shallow plastic ****s? I also hope that DMD doesnt delete my post - I'd have thought that my stance was self explanatory, but I guess that my way of thinking isnt all that popular! please don't move or delete my post DMD
Your opinion really doesn't have much credibilty Patty , you can play the joker but don't complain when nobody takes you seriously
Quick question Patty. Would you support the club if we moved to Melton and renamed 'Melton Tigers'? I mean, it's the same club and all, same team... I ask because all your other posts have no credibility.
of course I would, I repeat that I am not that shallow - however some of you appear to be. If you don't, I am not really bothered
The 'shallow plastic ****s' at CTWD are at pretty much all at every game. Whereas you, as 'a real fan' never go to a game, you just watch them on a stream. You really are a joke.
So, based on that, I presume you agreed with Wimbledon becoming MK Dons then. And you call us the shallow ****s. How many games do you go to again? Compared to the 'plastics' of CTWD who go to every game?
Erm... not moving to Milton Keynes? There was no need to move there. Winkleman had searched and looked at multiple clubs which he thought he could move there. There was no actual reason which meant they HAD to move. They didn't. They could've easily stayed at Selhurst Park a bit longer and redeveloped Plough Lane. Have a read of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relocation_of_Wimbledon_F.C._to_Milton_Keynes
I admit that I don't know anything about MKDons/Wimbledon, why would I? that's why I asked "what's the alternative"
