    After suffering his first ever hamstring injury in the draw against Aston Villa, right back Danny Simpson is expected to be available for selection sooner rather than later, after a scan revealed the damage was not as bad as first feared.

    His absence is likely to be three to four weeks, which could see him back in contention for the home game against Norwich on Sunday 23rd Sep although the trip to Reading on Sat 29th might be more realistic.

    A return to his former club, Manchester United, in the League Cup wouldn't be likely with most first teamers expected to sit that one out anyway. Think I'll sit this one out, it doesn't look like either team want to win it.
