Rooney - we all know what happened
Vidic - Surprised to see him on the list. Hadn't heard of him before we signed him
Joaquin - Think he was at Real Betis?? Now at Valencia. Not had a great career like he was tipped.
Van Der Vaart - Had a decent career. Messed up a bit at Madrid though as they have a tendancy to ruin players careers.
Kallstrom - Only known him since he played for Lyon. Decent player for them and Sweden.
Mido - Awful player. Looked quite decent for Spurs but his attitude ruined his career.
Cisse - Injuries looked to have ruined his career a bit. Could have done more with his career with Liverpool but as I said he was unlucky.
Saviola - Played for Barca then I think and had a promising career in front of him. I know he has gone on loan to Madrid and it didn't work out. Think he is still at Benfica!? Hardly setting the world alight.
Hleb - Was a great great player for Arsenal. Should have stayed there in all honesty. Couldn't get a game for Barca. Now nobody wants him!
Forlan - Obviously this list was done before he come to United. Had himself a very good career since leaving United and would have liked to have seen him at another top club. Too old now.
Diouf - Like Mido his attitude ruined his career.
Mads Timm - United reserve wasn't he? Don't know why he was in this list. He has probably had the worst career out of the lot.
Arjen Robben - Brilliant player. Should be winning the highest honours.
Leandro -Not sure who this guy is? Maybe he plays in Brazil?

Yeh Leandro was tipped to be better than Romario back then. No idea about him now though.

Of vidic this was said about him, ' an absolutely quality young CB at Partizan Belgrade '.

Whoever said that knew his stuff ( was a forum user ).

That's a strange list. Forlan was 23 in 2002, and Vidic wasn't even on the radar until 2004. Also, where are Ronaldo, Iniesta and Sneijder?

Fair enough. I would say, of the talented young players that broke through in 2002, Ronaldo, Rooney, Sneijder, Iniesta and Vidic (although I don't think he was that well recognised in 2002) have been the most successful. The ones who most failed to realise their potential in the PL were probably Djemba-Djemba, Timm, Cisse, Diouf and Joey Barton. Not sure about biggest overseas flops.
