I was wondering......how many nutters played for Fergie. Quite a lot,I think. Bullies seem to win.....even Wimbledon and Leeds!

Fergie had softies, and then he had a good vein of nutters. But at the heart of his squads he always had die hard loyal players, who would physically fight to defend him.

Even now these players look to him as a father. And no matter what Roy Keane say's, he was one of them players.

This is why Fergie could do the whole blow drier thing, he knew that he wouldn't get mutinied by the squad.

All apex winner types are bullys, you have to bully people in aome capacity in whatever you do to get to the very top of the top pile. Some are just humble and introverted with it and they use that to drive them on next time (fear of self failure) and some use the hype and attention of goat status and twist it into a confidence boost which drives them on and on likewise.

    ****s are a separate discussion

I wonder what went wrong at Leeds.Revie must have taught every dirty item from his book. Good thing. They were continually runnersup.
….and there was Arsenal.Bertie Mee and his right hand man. Good cop.Bad cop. They taught some nasty stuff too.But won with it!

controversial maybe, but most players back then were mediocre at best...

I know there's a few gems, but it's no surprise to me you could win everything in England by hacking at everyone.
