That REALLY is a thing of beauty.
It's the best goal scored in the world this year, I've no doubt about it.
My real worry is, how many of our players are Barcelona scouting now that we've let them know how good we are?!

Great goals and well done to Clarke in particular. For the third he stays onside perfectly, gets thrown to the ground and gets straight back up, then cleverly pulls back to fool the defence and make it an easy finish.
Nothing can come close to the Reading goal as it was pure perfection... But that is still a beautiful goal. The way we slow down and speed up the play is a joy to watch and I don't get tired of watching Clarke peel off his man in the box and move into the space. It's absolutely class forward play.
Reading goal was just off the charts in any league, anywhere in the world....total football.

I honestly think we should do a poll on our goal of the season but feel the Reading goal would win...but the 4th v Hull was maybe not quite as incisive but they were queuing up to walk it into the net. Both were sublime but I also remember a goal away to Wigan that if it hadn't taken a deflection would be in with a massive shout too.
That goal against Wigan was different to the 4th in Friday and Reading goal in that they almost walked it in, took the piss with passes and beating players but without the speed still great by the way!
We score some beautiful team goals but I'll say it again - there are no contenders. Every single touch in the Clarke goal v Reading is perfect. It's not just goal of the season, it's a contender for goal of the century.
