Just thought I would post this so I can get an idea of the sort of players our various posters have seen. For example I have been following Stoke for 13-14 years so not a lot to go on but would this would be mine:

    Simonsen

    Hoefkens-Shawcross-Huth-Griffin (Teenage Griffin I mean)

    Lawrence-Kavanagh-Eustace-Etherington

    Hoekstra

    Thorne

I picked Simmo because he was with us longer, plus I think he's a better shot stopper. I think in years to come my keeper will become Begovic though.

Think I'd go for Peter Fox in goal. Only recently found out his son is playing for Norwich - don't know much about him except he was born in Stoke. If he's any good perhaps we could/should bring him home! Ha!

Begovic is a fine fine stopper indeed. :) Soronsen solid and great at penalty savin though.

Agreed, Sorensen's penalty stopping record is remarkable.

Yeh i've heard of Fox's son. He started at Manchester United, supposed to be a pretty decent footballer. Mark Chamberlain's lad plays as well for Southampton, he's been linked with some of the top 6, so sounds a cracking prospect.

Yeh, wonder how they're fitting his surname on the back of the Southampton (soon to be Arsenal?) shirt!

Following Stoke for 13 years isn't really much to go on but i'll give it a shot.

    Steve Simonsen

    Carl Hoefkens-Ryan Shawcross-Robert Huth-Andy Griffin

    Liam Lawrence-John Eustace-Matthew Etherington

    Peter Hoekstra

    Peter Thorne-Ricardo Fuller
