Looks like this is Gills best ever start and with 2 home games coming up everything looks promising Lets hope when we do lose, we quickly get back to winning ways. The team line up on saturday was probablly the strongest line up on current form bar possibly Weston in the team.
James - like all Gills fans, I'm lapping it up at the moment - but on Saturday, even against a team at the bottom of the football league, their left winger ( No.11) Holmes, was causing Matt Fish a lot of problems. Thankfully his team mates were not of the same quality and did not profit. I hope that it will be a long time before we come unstuck ( who would have thought Rotherham would get such a stuffing ? ) Enjoy the ride - we don't get to be at the front very often.
At the moment it doesn't look like Fish will be fit for the next game as he has come off injured in the last two. Perhaps young Jack Evans can be given another chance at RB.
I would go with Jack at right back, I am not convinced with Flanagan going there and I would rather Davies at centre back and not wasted at right back.
@ windyrog: Gills won their first 4 games under Pulis in his first season (95/96) but then lost at home to Colchester, i.e. 12 points after 5 games, whereas after the first 5 games this season we have 13! So it could actually be the best ever start, though I have not checked all the archives from way back when so can't confirm
I'm expecting David Wright to start at right back on Saturday, because I suspect Fish is carrying an injury.
The start gets better and better. Bristol were poor but that was the best we have played so far. Bring on Southend
what a amazing start to the season 3 home wins 1 draw at home and 4 away wins. Brillant tinkerman Martin can do no wrong. 6 points clear. Happy Days
This is new territory for us as we are not used to it, we always think something may go wrong but maybe just maybe (fingers crossed) this is our season.
