BBC1 comedy Mrs Brown's Boys has been voted the best sitcom of the 21st century so far in an online poll of 14,000 people, conducted by the Radio Times. The top 20 list was compiled from a shortlist of 40 chosen by Radio Times critics and experts from the British Film Institute. Strange choice,I've never and never will watch it though enjoyed 2 & 3.The top 20 below and I've watched 7 and must confess I never heard of Count Arthur Strong. http://www.listchallenges.com/best-sitcoms-of-the-21st-century
I have to say, I did not like Mrs Brown's Boys at all, I thought it just wasn't funny and that has nothing to do with my hatred of Irish and fenians. The best on that list by far is The Office, who can forget when David Brent fell through the hole in the bar
Further proof that this country is packed full of spastics of the highest level on the spastic scale.
I would never and never Citizen Khan Mrs Brown's boys or any of the other PC BBC quota of minorities unfunny ****.
A couple of friends who I had previously considered of at least average intelligence admitted to liking Mrs B. I couldn't manage one episode, dire! Surprised to see Count Arthur up there, I find it very funny as I do The Office and Car Share. Phoenix Nights and Mrs B are the main anomalies. They should swap places.
In no particular order "The Office" and "The Thick of It" and "Peep Show" and "Phoenix Nights" would be in ma top 4. Many of the others I haven't seen and of those I have had the misfortune to stumble across are absolute pish. "Miranda" fur **** sake.
Top 6 from that list: Phoenix Nights Peep Show The Inbetweeners The Office The IT Crowd Black Books Toast of London should be in the list. Edit: missed Peep Show somehow
