    All the sitcoms you have listed are crap

    I realise that most of them are old and were probably funny 'back in the day' but they just don't cut it these days

    So what cuts it these days? Shows like Only Fools and Horses were proper comedy written intelligently and they were just good clean fun to watch.

    Only Fools And Horses was by far the best of it's day.
    Of the more up to date one's Friends comfortably.

    Don't think you can really compare the two but both the best of their generation for me! <ok>

    Friends was a soap opera full of teen angst with the odd canned laugh thrown in.

    "Like, oh my god, I'm so pretty and I have a good job and I live in a big apartment in the middle of New York but my life is just so hard!"

    Makes you want to puke.

    Just to add another american sitcom into the mix - Two and a half men

    It's no coincidence that the actors in these sitcoms are/were some of the highest paid in the world
