With Pompey promoted from League Two after four full seasons at the lowest professional league in English Football I thought it might be time for a poll. The subject - who was the best player to play for Portsmouth in during those four seasons?

    Candidates are:

Ricky Holmes - 2013/14 player of the season, total 53 games and 2 goals
Jed Wallace - 2014/15 player of the season, total 88 games in League Two and 21 goals
Micheal Doyle - 2015/16 player of the season, total 90 games and 3 goals
Enda Stevens - 2016/17 player of the season, total 90 games and 1 goal
    Other - please specify

Has to be Stevens for me - he always looked quality from day one. All you highlight are worthy of being put forward though.

I liked Enda/Edna Stevens, Eastney, but for me it is Jed Wallace who as a young kid played with maturity beyond his years. Such talent!

Just a shame that his move to Wolves didn't work out for him. Hopefully he will do better at Millwall.

Does the option "various Referees" come under "other"?

I had a bigger list than just the four players of the season but the poll format of the website wouldn't allow me to add enough options. The other players I was going to nominate for consideration were:

Danny Hollands - 2013/14 second highest goalscorer, total 83 games and 6 goals
Ryan Taylor - 2014/15 joint second highest goalscorer, total 55 games and 15 goals
Matt Tubbs - 2014/15 joint second highest goalscorer, total 39 games and 14 goals
Marc McNulty - 2015/16 highest goalscorer, total 27 games and 20 goals
Conor Chaplin - 2015/16 second highest goalscorer, 2016/17 fourth highest goalscorer, total 78 games and 17 goals
Gareth Evans - 2015/16 joint third highest goalscorer, 2016/17 joint fifth highest goalscorer, total 81 games and 15 goals
Gary Roberts - 2015/16 joint third highest goalscorer, 2016/17 second highest goalscorer, total 74 games and 17 goals
Kal Naismith - 2016/17 highest goalscorer, total 56 games and 16 goals
Trevor Carson - 2013/14 first choice goalkeeper, total 36 games
Paul Jones - 2014/15 first choice goalkeeper, total 55 games
David Forde - 2016/17 first choice goalkeeper, total 46 games
Sonny Bradley - total 33 games and 2 goals
Joe Devera - total 72 games and 1 goal
Adam Webster - total 67 games and 5 goals
Jack Whatmough - total 46 games and 1 goal
Paul Robinson - total 33 games and 2 goals
Chritain Burgess - total 81 games and 6 goals
Matthew Clarke - total 62 games and 2 goals
Andy Barcham - total 45 games and 4 goals
Kyle Bennett - total 81 games and 12 goals
Carl Baker - total 45 games and 9 goals
