Over the last 9 games who has been a revelation and who has failed to impress.

Here are my hits and misses.

Aluko, Simpson, Quinn and Bruce have all been impressive for me.

Aluko has a level of skill we haven't seen for a while, good shot, can play all across the front and if we fail to make the play offs I could see us losing him in the summer. I do think his first touch lets him down now and again though.

Simpson works damn hard. Not seen a work rate like he is showing this season for over 12 months. Well not since he started two games, scored and was then dropped by NP.

Quinn, The lad is fantastic and was wasted at the blunts in League One. Fantastic work rate, good pass rate and always looking to get the ball down and play.

Bruce. Yes Bruce. Know a few Leeds fans who didn't think much of him and to be fair he isn't a flair player but he does a job and is good at it.

    Fails.

Both Oli and Faye are showing that being a big black fella past your footballing best its impossible to turn quickly (Same for Adebola last season). Im sure Oli played most of Tuesday night like it was a training match. Slow and not willing to tackle when it counts. McKenna is much better in that role. He is more like Ash and gets in to break down play.

We need a box to box midfielder who can tackle and break up play. I'm sure Evans could be that player but he seems a confidence player and cant hit the ground running.

Amos. What is he all about. He is either stuck on his line or all over the place. Needs work but has potential. Rather have Bo in goal thou. Maybe on loan in Jan.

Really enjoying this season thou. Some good play going forwards but we need to defend as a team too, help out the back three a bit more.

Would agree with that and possibly add Dudgeon to the '' hits '' as well, he's not the finished article but seems to have fitted in the wing back system pretty well. Aluko and Quinn have been great signings.

Wouldn't say there has been any misses really. Personally think Dudgeon has been the best player so far.

Hits: Amos, Faye, Bruce, Dudgeon, Elmohamady, Quinn, Aluko, Oli, Simpson
    Misses: Jakupovic, Chester, Evans, Proschwitz

All kind of relative to how good I expected. E.g. Bruce isn't better than Chester but he's done OK and Chester has been a bit of a let down this year. Jakupovic warming up but not even making the bench is disappointing, Prossy has obviously been a disappointment and Evans just isn't very good.

Amos has been let down by his defence in the last few matches.

Funny how Faye's mistake for Blackpool's first and their last goal hasn't had the same reaction on here as Amos' blunder. Plus, he's been making them alot more frequently. Chester as well for that matter.

As i said after the match on tuesday, one fault doesn't mean he's crap. He made a mistake. If he was infalliable, Amos would be playing in the premier league not the championship. He's still young and needs matches to improve.

I hope he plays a blinder on saturday.

Absolutely agree. I think he's been really good for us so far, just does everything well and makes it look easy. I still haven't seen a replay of that 3rd Blackpool goal, but I was convinced in real-time that it was more down to the defence, he couldn't just stay on his line and let Phillips run at him could he?
