Hey People, first post on here. Thought I'd ask your views on who you think had the best performance you've ever seen against us in any kind of match. For me I'd have to go with Brazilian Ronaldo at Old Trafford in 2003 in the Champions League. For me he's the best striker I've ever seen when injury free. That hat-trick just summed up what he was all about!
Yep, I'd agree with that. Stunning performance, his first goal went a bit through Barthez, but the 2nd was a wonderfully worked goal, think it was Zidane with a lovely little through ball for Roberto Carlos to simply pass along the 6 yard box to Ronaldo and just to show how brilliant he is, he spanks a 25 yard howitzer beyond Barthez with his "weaker" foot! It was a brilliant game as well, we won 4-3, Beckham had a gorgeous free kick and was it Helguera with an absolutely stunning own goal? I always maintain that we could have won the tie because Casillas saved a few one on ones although my memory could be going!
