Fulham fan in peace. Now that we're out I wanted to wish you all the best in the Europa. I'd much rather see you have a decent run than the reluctant Champions League rejects. I hope you get an exciting draw, and some good results against glamourous opponents. There's been some bad blood between our teams recently (mostly spilled by... no, sorry - only joking!) but I hope you have a good old run at it.

That's the spirit Cap'n - rum lot those Mancs.

Thanks for the best wishes - happy Christmas to all at the Cottage except for Danny Murphy

It would be great if we do, but finishing 2nd leaves us in the draw for a seeded group away - I think? That doesn't bode well for oyur realsitic hopes, and I would also sacrifice all further Europa results for a solid set of points in the prem against bottom half teams. Thanks for your thoughts though!

First and second isn't such a big deal, Smithers. We were group runners up two years ago and did okay. It's all about getting through (a stark fact from where I'm sitting this morning!) Half of the Champions League drop-outs get allocated with the group winners and half with the group runners-up anyway, so even if you won your group you could get drawn against the big boys, and that only makes any difference for the first knock-out round.

To be honest, the Europa league isn't even a money-spinner for most clubs. If I was you, I'd be hoping for a glamour draw rather than an easy one. If you get a glory night to remember, that's the best thing that this cup has to offer for clubs like ours. Trust me, our lot (me included!) will still be banging on about Juventus at the Cottage for years to come.

As for trading Europa for solid results in the Prem, I just hope that's what we did last night!

    Captain
Thanks very much matie <ok> I thought at half time your game was over so I didn't watch the 2nd half. Maybe a blessing in disguise let's hope so for Fulham and your fans.
I think? We've proved by qualifying that we can compete and IF we get a "Good draw" next round fantastic. I remember playing Ajax in the 70s and would love it if we got one of the big oversea's teams at our place. From what I heard.. we don't/can not draw Utd or Citeh in next weeks draw? And, we will be at HOME first leg anyway having finished 2nd in the group.

Good luck Captain.. and Merry Xmas <ok>
