Thought it was now time for everyone to put their money where their mouth is and vote for their best Saints manager of the future.

As before if I've missed anyone out, just name them and if others vote for them they could still win.

I've had to leave some big names out but hopefully you agree with the majority of my selection.

Remember this is best not favourite so although we all like Alan Carr, his decision to follow in his dad's footsteps and become a football manager was not his best career move!

I'm too old to remember the future, but I like the sound of Tess Tickle.

Forbes Phillipston Masters III. Best name for not being easily slotted into lurid newspaper headlines.

And where is James Ward - Prose on that list or does everyone think he will have replaced Lineker on Match of the Day
    in 2030?

I know he is highly articulate but I did mean to write Prowse.

Neil Warthog's your man. Tenacious and tricky in the rough, with a fearsome reputation.

I have plumped for Asprilla, just shading it over Warthog with an honourable mention to former saints legend Forbes Phillipson(spelling mistake in poll) Masters grandson!

Asprilla came over from South America full of tenacity, passion and flair, he initially didn't speak much English which meant Salas came back to Southampton for his first 2 years.

He led us to back to back Premier league wins and a Champions League win during those first 2 years. He then disappeared back to Columbia just as quickly as he arrived.

Luckily for us he laid the groundwork for our many successes in the years that followed and for that he will always be my choice for best future Saints manager.

Pressed Rat and Warthog closed down their shop. They didn't want to, t'was all they had got. Selling atonal apples, amplified heat. And Pressed Rat's collection of dog legs and feet. Sadly they left, telling no-one goodbye. Pressed Rat wore red jodphurs and Warthog his striped tie. Between them they carried a three legged sack. Went straight round the corner, and never came back.

It's got nothing to do with Neil Warthog, but I wanted to see how far into this song I could remember before I became stumped for lyrics.

I think it carries on... The band madman captain had ordered their fate. He laughed and stumped off with a nautical gate. The something, something something turned into a projero [or something] tree, and his peg leg got woodworm and broke into three.

Then it's just the first verse again.

Mark that for me LTL, or Chilco, please. What did I get wrong, apart from putting it on this thread.? But I'm bound to say that anything appears to go on this one. :)

Pretty good I'd say TSS! One of Ginger Baker's finest. Here's the boys doing it at the Albert Hall in 2005:

He got it more wrong than I did and he had the lyrics in front of him. I suppose he's entitled to. :)
