It is often said that great players don't make particularly good managers. Short and sweet, with the exception of Dalgleish who I grudgingly admit is head and shoulders above all the rest as a player, which of the remaining managers in the Premier League was the best player. My choice might surprise a few, but I saw Alec McLeish play on numerous occasions and he was class.
My apologies, even as a Man Utd fan I appreciate Dalglish was a fantastic player. I watched him numerous times when he played with Celtic and you could tell he had class. So who would you say is the next best player now managing in the league?
Guardiola was excellent as a player, and as a manager. Premier league? Probably Paul Lambert, or Mark Hughes.
