    It is often said that great players don't make particularly good managers. Short and sweet, with the exception of Dalgleish who I grudgingly admit is head and shoulders above all the rest as a player, which of the remaining managers in the Premier League was the best player.

    My choice might surprise a few, but I saw Alec McLeish play on numerous occasions and he was class.

    Never seen Mancini play so I cant add him.

    In our league, easily mancini, he was absolutely superb at his peak, one of the main reasons people watched italian football

    Mancini was class as was Hughes.
