I'm sure you guys have your favourites, but this one must come pretty close: "Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, 27, would be interested in leaving Spurs to join Arsenal at the end of the season, according to Gunners striker Olivier Giroud." (Source: Daily Mail) Superb! Come on! That's pretty good, eh!
Given that the story says that Giroud and Koscielny have tried to persuade Lloris to join them at Arsenal, I'd say that the person it will most wind up would be Szczesny. Doubt he's too pleased that his teammates are trying to tap up a replacement for him.
Haha read that last night, best bit about it was it said "Spurs captain Lloris", they clearly pay a lot of attention to our captaincy then. Bet training for them lot today will be fun when Giroud sees Szczesny.
Let them keep distracting themselves thinking about us, trying to wum our fans and in the process embarrass their France teammate and club teammate. Hopefully we'll continue to go about our business of picking up points quietly.
Szczesny would probably be fine with it... he'll need a new understudy for when Fabianksi leaves in the Summer.
Thing is this. In its vicious attempt to wum Spurs fan, The Daily Fail has failed to take into consideration that, in three games' time we could be sitting above Arsenal; and why would one of the best keepers in the world want to and play for a team that is about to witness one of the biggest bottle-jobs in recent times? I can't stand wums.
That is utterly incorrect, as there's a huge difference between the two: Marca are pro-Factitious, the Wail is anti-Spurs.
Was the daily mail nicknamed the fail before they went online as since news sources went online they have given a platform for every employee to create articles just to get visitors to their site!
He is French, which surely means a move to Arsenal at some point, although he's 10 years too old for Wenger and around £15M too dear.
Lloris doesn't seem too impressed by the suggestion: "Yes I heard about that. I think maybe some words were twisted, but it is embarrassing. I don't think that. I'm very focused on Spurs' ambition and I am very pleased to play for Spurs. "I have too much respect for the club and the Spurs fans to think that kind of thing. Of course I know (Giroud) very well because we are team-mates in the national team - the same with Laurent Koscielny - but I am a Spurs player and I'm very proud to play here." Tries to cover for his mate, but it's clear that he thinks that Giroud's made a twat of himself.
