Haven't seen in mentioned anywhere, but it was announced before the game on Saturday that we are officially the best behaved fans in the Premier League. I know it's not the greatest award in the world but it's nice to see the fans getting some acknowledgement
Yes and as the crowd were chanting the referees a Colin my son turns to me and says if we are the best who on earth came last! He is 11!
Was this his first game then, or does he normally have ear plugs fitted Bless him, he will learn........... Take him to the next City v Town derby game (I know, could be a long wait), that should expand his mind and vocabulary a little
Yes, Sunderland would get a thumbs up from me. I have followed them to away games in years gone by (when they were in the 3rd division) and their behavior has always been exemplary, even under some pretty extreme provocation. Even their home games at the old Roker Park I visited as a neutral several times they were simply amazing.
No he has been going regularly for several years but was surprised that we won, took him to the toon last year luckily he did not understand a word they were chanting!
i haven't got the info to hand but we are also top of the table when it comes to results against other top half teams! i think we had 4 wins, 2 draws and just the sole defeat. obviously means our record against the bottom half is a bit ropey!!
it's only ropey because newcastle, liverpool and fulham are in that bottom half Supers, none of whom are ropey. we do need to pick up some wins against them though
yeah, that's true, and we played them all early in the season. were we to play those games again now i think the results would be somewhat different
totally, a bit like hindsight. it's not like we lost to QPR, Villa and Wigan, it was 3 established teams. Wigan is a big step in the right direction, and we've the likes of villa, saints, reading, newcastle and fulham still to play at Carrow Rd. oh, and lastly your stat is great although i don't see how we are above united, but sure it's correct
very impressive! i guess these tables get a little skewed when you have teams like us yo-yoing from top to bottom all the time as we did last season a bit.
